Commercial Contracts Attorney

Commercial Contracts Attorney The candidate will be responsible for: Draft, review, and negotiate transportation and logistics services agreements, professional services agreements/statements of work, and partner agreements for motor carriers, property brokers, freight forwarders, and similar transportation providers. Draft, review, and negotiate business vendor agreements of all varieties. Work with sales, accounting, finance, technology, and client service teams to resolve contractual issues. Assist with the development of a contract management system, new company solutions, new contract templates, and guidelines for partner programs. Participate in compliance initiatives including training internal clients on legal and contracting policies and issues, including privacy and data protection. Other duties as assigned. Must have Degree from a top law school with excellent academic credentials and valid license to practice law in any U.S. state. Should have 3+ years of relevant professional experience in commercial and contract law. Leading law firm or in-house experience; in-house commercial contracting experience dealing with transportation agreements and supporting a wide-ranging internal customer base is a plus. Experience with transportation/logistics services and/or insurance industry a plus. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and solid analytical abilities demonstrated through work experience. Note: This is a fixed term position for 3-6 months.
