Counsel - Commercial Contracts The candidate under limited supervision, assist in provision of legal services and advice for drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts and similar documents. Provide advice and assistance to business clients throughout the RGA enterprise. Assist with legal research and transactional matters. Provide legal services and advice related to drafting, negotiation and execution of commercial contracts and related documents and risks. Assist Assistant General Counsel and other members of Global Legal Services with legal research and transactional matters. Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant General Counsel. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. A Law degree from a United States accredited law school is required. Must have Bachelor's degree from a United States accredited university. Should have 1+ years of experience in negotiating commercial contracts. Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. State. Should have knowledge of U.S. laws and regulations. Must have ability to comprehend and interpret business and contract documents. Should have client counseling skills in translating business needs and problems into viable and accepted solutions. Must have advanced oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to clearly present appropriate business terminology and concepts. Advanced presentation skills are required. Should have advanced negotiating and persuasion skills. Must have advanced ability to investigate, analyze and solve complex problems. Demonstrated ability to implement and drive change, ensuring understanding, participation and ownership is required. Should have Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. Should preferably have Knowledge of data privacy and protection laws and regulations.
