Group Data Privacy Legal Counsel The candidate will work closely with legal and business stakeholders and with data privacy team members globally. Will be required to have strong communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work with others on a collaborative basis, flexibility, interpersonal skills, legal research skills, organizational skills, sound judgment and initiative and a sense of humour. Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer. J.D. from an accredited law school required. Licensed to practice law in Texas, or able to obtain license in a reasonable timeframe. Should have 7+ years of relevant work experience. Proven experience in advising on data privacy matters required. Must have knowledge and experience to quickly identify data privacy legal risks. Should have understanding of the interaction between IT and data privacy compliance. Broad experience in dealing with complex regulations and processes required. Must have a broad knowledge of applicable and emerging data privacy laws; particularly those in the US in terms of data breach regulations, and impending privacy laws. Should be familiar with, or willing to learn about, the regulatory landscape that governs the use of information technology. Job Expires: 8 Nov 2019.
