Assistant General Counsel - Litigation ID: 2019-31458 Responsibilities: The candidate must be a seasoned litigator with experience in both state and federal court, as well as arbitration. This attorney handles a wide range of litigation matters as assigned by the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel. This attorney must take a lead role in managing the company's high volume of litigation matters as well as providing strategic guidance to key stakeholders on litigation issues. This attorney must actively manage outside counsel, direct strategy, and contain costs. This attorney be highly experienced in their assigned area of litigation matters.
Qualifications: The candidate should have J.D. from ABA Accredited Law School. Licenses: Member in Good Standing of State Bar of California. Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of prior legal experience in law firm, public sector, and/or in-house position. Must have trial or arbitration hearing experience, preferably with some experience as first chair. Must have experience in the healthcare industry, preferably with hospitals.
