Immigration Staff Attorney RESPONSIBILITIES: Report to the Supervising Immigration Attorney. Supervise case managers in the completion of affirmative applications to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (including, but not limited to: family petitions, adjustments of status, U Visa petitions, applications for citizenship, applications for DACA renewal and green card renewals). Conduct thorough consultations with clients and make appropriate referrals to outside agencies. Accurately maintain files, case notes, and electronic client databases. Conduct community outreach and education. Assist in the completion of grants.
QUALIFICATIONS: Should have Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Admission to New York State Bar. Fluency or high degree of proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred (French also desirable). Experience in immigration law and working with low-income communities.
