Associate Corporate Counsel The candidate will build and lead a high performing Client HR Team to obtain client advocacy by providing highly valued consultative services on labor and employment issues. Will also responsible for developing the legal platforms for new products that provide ProService a competitive market advantage. Build and inspire a team of employment attorneys and senior HR professionals to provide practical solutions to our clients' most challenging employment issues. Hire, coach, and develop high performers. Find ways to improve service and HR product offerings for scalability. Increase the use of our company's artificial intelligence system (i.e., wiki) and provide internal trainings to empower our staff to answer our clients' most frequently asked questions. Obtain client advocacy resulting in new business referrals. Convey to prospective clients the value of our HR consultative services during the sales process. Strategize and develop the legal platform for first to market products (primary in the areas of insurance). Obtain regulatory approval and buy-in from vendors and carriers. Proactively minimize the company's exposure to regulatory actions, commercial litigation, labor and employment disputes. Protect the company's intellectual property. Ensure our insurance products (health care, workers' compensation, 401K) are compliant. Manage our corporate documents and records. Manage outside counsel on strategy and effective defense of EPLI claims and business transactions. Conduct business and the practice of law in a legal, ethical, fair and responsible manner while engendering trust, respect and loyalty from others. Adaptability Willing and able to expand the range of job responsibilities, as needed, based on the evolution of the company. Should have JD degree from an accredited university. Must be Admitted to the Hawaii Bar, or able to successfully pass the Hawaii Bar Exam upon relocation. Must have 2-3 years of practice in general/commercial litigation and/or corporate transactional work. Should preferably have prior HR or PEO experience.
