Associate Counsel, Intellectual Property The candidate will assist with maintenance of company's domestic and foreign trademark portfolio. Assist with trademark clearance searching and draft opinions regarding the same. Assist with domestic and foreign trademark prosecution, including drafting trademark applications and office action responses, and manage domestic and foreign outside counsel's handling of the same. Assist with domestic and foreign dispute matters, including outgoing and incoming takedowns, cease and desist letters, oppositions and cancellations, and manage domestic and foreign outside counsel's handling of the same. Serve as a front-line attorney, counseling company's dynamic business and marketing professionals who help to develop, launch, and constantly improve company's business and technology. Identify and resolve legal issues related to trademarks, copyrights, and the right of publicity, working directly with business clients to provide on-the-ground support. Collaborate closely with colleagues on various business teams, the IP Team, and the wider Legal Team, to provide comprehensive advice, and solve legal problems quickly. The candidate should have J.D. and license to practice law in at least one state. Must have 2-4 years of legal experience in law firm practice and/or in-house (in-house experience is a plus). Experience and high comfort level in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating dispute settlement agreements is required. Must have eperience analyzing and advising on a wide range of legal issues related to trademarks, copyrights, and the right of publicity. Should have flexibility to perform in nimble, rapidly changing, and growing environments. Strong team orientation encouraging communication and cooperation across organizations and functions are required. Must have strong communication skills.
