Senior Counsel (Trademark) Duties: Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning. Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy. Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas. Manage a global trademark portfolio, including trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and licenses Conduct and review trademark searches globally Provide clear and actionable legal counsel on risk analysis and mitigation strategies for trademarks, trade dress, product designs, copyrights and domain names Prepare and prosecute domestic trademark, trade dress, design patents Manage enforcement of intellectual property rights, domestically and internationally, including cease & desist communications, UDRP, and TTAB proceedings Drafting and negotiating coexistence agreements, consent agreements, settlement agreements and trademark and other IP license agreements Provide legal support for trademark, copyright and domain name aspects of deals, licenses, agreements and other transactions including due diligence and review of agreements Work with and supervise outside counsel, domestic and international Train clients on IP principles and corporate policies and procedures Build and maintain strong client relationships Work collaboratively within Legal and with business partners to identify and execute creative and practical legal and business solutions Advise IP stakeholders on trends and developments in IP law Work with and supervise the work of trademark paralegals.

Qualifications: Admitted to at least one state Bar. 5 + years of experience. 7 years of experience as a trademark Attorney. Must have experience in trademark matters with an emphasis on domestic and international clearance, prosecution and enforcement, as well as experience in managing a global trademark portfolio. Must have experience in managing complex global disputes, and be able to solve highly complex issues in creative and effective ways, while maintaining an acceptable level of legal risk in a fast-paced environment. Prior law firm preferred and/or in-house experience preferred. Strong business acumen.
