Senior Counsel - Commercial Real Estate

Senior Counsel - Commercial Real Estate Duties: Handle in-house, or by supervising and managing outside counsel, the following types of matters: Drafting and negotiating real estate transactional documents, including commercial leases, subleases, ground leases, purchase and sale agreements, private easements and right of way agreements, tower site/space agreements, license agreements, subordination agreements and deeds. Legal interpretation of real estate documents and providing legal assistance for routine environmental issues. Negotiating and resolving legal disputes relative to real estate issues and documents, including issues of trespass, facilities relocation and lease defaults. Will protect by minimizing its exposure to legal risk and keeping legal expenses to a minimum. Will provide legal support on real estate issues across all business units.

Qualifications: Doctorate or Equivalent in Law. 6+ years actively engaged in private or in-house law practice, with an emphasis on real estate law. Experience in drafting and negotiating traditional real estate documents, including leases, easements, and purchase and sale agreements. Experience in telecommunications or related industry helpful. Excellent writing, drafting and verbal communications skills. Organizational and management capabilities. Need to be able to function and manage workload independently, efficiently and with minimal supervision. Sound business and legal judgment.
