Senior Benefits Tax Advisor / Counsel The candidate will be responsible for: Manage Intel's employment tax relationship with US tax authorities, including management of payroll/withholding tax audits. Provide technical advice, manage employment tax audits and risks, and engage external counsel, auditors, tax service providers, and advisors as needed. Identify US tax legislative and regulatory changes related to compensation and benefits including stock and incentive payments, analyze the potential impact on business, communicate to relevant stakeholders, and advise on implementation strategies. Provide tax advice and technical support to key stakeholders on compensation and benefits matters including but not limited to equity compensation, fringe benefits such as education, moving/relocation, employer provided aircraft, and security as well as potential Section 162(m) that deals with 1120 and M adjustments and Section 409A issues. Analyze the impact of internal business changes on US employment tax compliance and planning, communicate to relevant stakeholders, and advise on implementation strategies. Advise business partners on employment tax implications with respect to design and implementation of innovative employee benefits and compensation offerings. Provide internal advice on mobility tax matters to the mobility tax team.
The candidate must have Bachelor's Degree. Should have 12+ years of experience in the following areas: Employment tax experience in Big 4 accounting firms, major law firms and/or in-house counsel; Fringe benefits tax experience. Accreditation required in at least one of the following: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office. J.D. and active membership in state bar where practice. Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience post degree preferred. Government service an added plus.
