Employment Counsel The candidate will be responsible for: Monitor regulatory changes (city, county, state, federal) that may impact business policy & practice. Develop & execute training on legal matters for stakeholders. Such as positive employee relations, FMLA, harassment. Review responses for labor-related topics such as grievances and arbitration. Interpret and provide guidance on compensation & benefits-related topics such as paid sick leave, equal pay. Manage interaction with outside Counsel when applicable. Negotiate, write and execute agreements and contracts on behalf of the Company. Research and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact the Company.

The candidate should have 5-7 years of law practice at a national firm. Employment and labor law experience required. Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctorate required. Must be admitted to a recognized bar and be certification to practice law in one or more of; Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas or California required. Should have knowledge of business and human resources principles; hiring, employment, discipline, labor relations. Must have strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues. Should have proficiency with software such as; LexisNexis PCLaw, TimSolv Legal, and Microsoft Office suite.
