Associate Corporate Counsel - Litigation The candidate will manage company's response to individual lawsuits including collaborating with outside litigators to develop sound defense strategy and tactics. Evaluate and respond to third party subpoenas, including identifying risk to the company. Monitor and review lawsuits filed against other industry players to identity threats to the company. Identify issues, perform legal research, prepare legal analysis memoranda, and advise others in the Legal group and internal clients regarding issues presented. Provide e-discovery support. Respond to inquiries from Finance, Global Risk Management and other internal clients. Manage assigned projects to completion. Assist other attorneys and management in higher level matters, as needed. All other duties as assigned.
The candidate should have J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia or other US jurisdiction. Should have 2+ years of relevant litigation experience in a law firm. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in handling regulatory matters or practicing law in a regulated industry is a plus. Excellent project management, analytical and research skills required.
