Corporate/In-House Attorney The candidate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of company contracts and service agreements. In addition, provide additional corporate, transactional, and other legal support as part of the legal team for the company. With excellent work-ethic, the person in this role must be intellectually curious and ready to enthusiastically tackle novel legal and industry issues while providing overall legal support to a quickly growing company. Must possess excellent academic credentials, outstanding written and oral advocacy skills, and strong software/technological skills. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts across all areas of the company, including non-disclosure, consulting, service, employment, and commercial contracts. Facilitate internal contract approval and stakeholder negotiation to resolve complex issues and assist in disputes (escalating complex legal and factual issues to the appropriate internal parties). Communicate with business units ensuring all obligations are being met (milestones, deliverables, invoicing.). Interpret and advise on contract requirements, obligations, customer resolutions, and risk exposure. Handle depositions as a corporate representative. Prepare pleadings, discovery, demands, and responses. Travel via commercial transportation or driving to job-related activities(up to 25%). Experience in a corporate business environment is required. A background in operations, engineering, or labor/construction a plus. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school required. Preferably 3-5 years of in-house counsel experience.
