Commercial Litigation Counsel The candidate will be on the front lines performing last-mile diligence on cases, assessing their merits, damages, collectability, and other assorted risks. Will be using cutting edge legal tech to invest in litigation led by the best firms. Legal research and due diligence on investment opportunities. Preparation of investment memos. Real-time negotiation with plaintiffs and attorneys over investment terms and pricing. Training and working closely with the engineering team to translate legal knowledge into automation. J.D. from top 20 law school. 4+ years as litigation associate at AmLaw 200 firm and/or comparable boutique firms. 1+ trials chaired. Experience in several of the following areas: commercial litigation, breach of contract, intellectual property, employment disputes, whistleblower claims, earn-out disputes.
