Corporate Counsel- Litigation Duties: Manages/supervises large and/or complex cases and matters worldwide. Develops legal strategies for business. Responsible for project and matter management with limited supervision; exercises independent judgment. Provides support and leadership in improvement and issue-resolution projects in both the Legal function and within the business units. Recognized as a developing expert in the area of litigation. Acts as trusted advisor to management on legal rights and obligations; has strong grasp of business environment; effectively partners with clients to identify and design needed improvements; provides legal as well as practical advice within the appropriate business context; understands and manages stakeholder expectations. Researches, evaluates and advises management and other attorneys on recent or prospective changes in laws and regulations. Instructs and supervises outside counsel and consultants as needed. Effectively influences and maintains open, collaborative relationships with clients, other business partners and outside stakeholders. May supervise and/or mentor one or more junior lawyers, paralegals or administrative assistants.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school. License to practice in Indiana or other jurisdiction. Excellent academic credentials. 1st chair trial experience strongly preferred. 6-8 years of experience of substantive litigation practice either in private practice or in-house with a corporation. High level technical legal skills required. Understands business objectives. Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
