Senior Compliance Counsel Responsibilities: Work directly with the Compliance team, Ombuds Leader, and other stakeholders within Digital and Corporate Legal to: Lead independent investigations, as well as managing and/or overseeing others who may be conducting investigations. Carry out prompt, thorough, and objective investigations into alleged violations of law or company policy. Cases may involve any of GE's Spirit & Letter policies. For example, matters may concern complex questions involving finance, controllership, conflict of interest, quality, sourcing, environmental health and safety, information technology and security, intellectual property, improper payments, competition law, and more. Interview witnesses, conduct forensic analyses and pursue investigative leads in support of investigations. Partner with Ombuds/Open Reporting and other functions to identify and understand trends; analyze and report out on such trends and thereby enable the organization to respond in a timely and proactive manner. Know and understand all applicable legal and policy requirements pertaining to the conduct of investigations including in areas involving employee interviews, data privacy, labor and employment requirements, and more; monitor changes in such laws and policies and provide guidance to colleagues with respect to such changes. Work with the General Counsel and compliance team on the enhancement of core compliance program elements across, including risk assessment, policies and procedures, training, communication, monitoring and reporting. Provide legal and compliance oversight of (i) customer and channel partner compliance analysis including sanction screening for existing and potential client relationships; (ii) business and government courtesy expenses; and (iii) export controls. Support compliance initiatives related to globally, across functions and different businesses. A key strategic member of the Compliance team responsible for (i) conducting compliance analysis and integrity investigations involving alleged violations of law or GE policy across a number of substantive risk areas, (ii) proactively screening GED client and partner engagements globally for compliance with U.S. and international standards, and (iii) enhancing and implementing the compliance infrastructure across globally.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree + 8 Years of Experience in Compliance and/or Legal OR legal degree with 5 years' experience. Law degree with experience in a government regulatory agency and/or top tier global law firm desired. Litigation and internal/external investigation experience a plus. Desired: Ability to manage risks and conduct investigations and reviews of people who sit in multiple locations and are from multiple, diverse cultures. Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience performing investigative interviews. Self-motivated with ability to handle a large and varied caseload simultaneously, to multitask, to delegate, and to work independently with minimal supervision. Outstanding communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at various levels of the organization.
