Corporate & Litigation Counsel The candidate will provide legal advice and support in respect to litigation and employment-related matters, including employee disputes, internal investigations, plaintiff side litigation brought on behalf of AllianzGI or the funds and products we manage, third party subpoenas received related to our employees, clients, investments or products, defense side litigation and other related topics, collaborating closely with and managing external counsel where appropriate. Manage all aspects of case progression, from initial responses to subpoenas, complaints and other inquiries, through to document preservation and production to ultimate resolution through settlement, arbitration, litigation or other proceeding. Provide primary support and advice to HR team on full spectrum of employment-related matters, including employee onboarding, training, complaints, dispute investigation and resolution and employment termination. Take responsibility for internal governance related topics, including corporate resolutions / organizational matters, drafting and negotiating inter-company agreements and liaising with other corporate entities and legal officers across the Allianz network of companies. Engage in wide-ranging general Corporate legal practice, including but not limited to drafting and negotiating agreements, supporting Compliance-related tasks (e.g. Gifts & Entertainment, Political Contributions) and providing legal support for issues related to copyright, patents and other matters that may arise. Work closely and nimbly with senior management and colleagues across functions and in other offices, including Germany, the UK and APAC, in solving complex cross-border legal issues germane to the areas of coverage. Licensed attorney with top credentials, with 6-8 years related experience in-house, regulatory, or leading law firm, or a combination thereof, required. Demonstrated experience with the following areas will be key for the successful candidate: Handling complex HR and employment-related disputes, including potential internal investigations, arbitrations, mediations and litigation Handling other litigation matters, including potential plaintiff and defence-side matters, third party and regulatory subpoenas, regulatory investigations and examinations and other matters All aspects of case management, including initiation and maintenance of document preservation notices, organization and implementation of discovery and document production requirements and related matters. Experience with the Investment Advisers Act and other regulations applicable to an SEC-registered investment adviser a plus. Intelligent, bright, conceptual thinker and a quick learner and engaged contributor with the ability to quickly assess a situation and generate new insights and contribute usable ideas. Outstanding reputation of professional integrity a must. Excellent communications and presentation skills are required.
