Corporate Counsel, Privacy The candidate will be a resident expert and resource on issues related to M&A privacy and data protection. Evaluate the risks posed by the privacy and data security practices of acquisition targets in light of company's compliance obligations, internal policies, and business strategies; lead diligence; communicate findings clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders at the highest levels of the company; and assist in negotiating legal protections to address identified risks. Develop and improve privacy-related acquisition processes and training materials; deliver training and communications relating to M&A privacy issues and legal developments to the Privacy team. Assist product counsel to evaluate risks associated with licensing and regulatory issues. On an as-needed basis, assist with integration of acquired companies with insights from the relevant transaction. Partner with members of the legal, corporate development, product, security, and other teams to help ensure company's compliance with applicable laws, regulations and customer contracts. Should have Undergraduate degree and J.D. degree. Must have 4+ years of combined experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department, with 2+ years of experience working on privacy and data protection. Should have expertise in the privacy laws of the US and Europe; familiarity with product counseling issues. Must have excellent written/oral communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Certified Information Privacy Professional preferred.
