Senior Corporate Counsel Duties: Under the direction of the Deputy General Counsel or General Counsel, manage the department's contract management process by providing's upport to the Deputy General Counsel for all corporate transactions needed to execute the company's business plan on time and on budget. Review and drafting of administrative agreements,'s ervices agreements, consulting agreements,'s oftware agreements, leases, and other contracts and reinsurance treaties, and engaging and managing outside counsel to assist as needed. Maintaining all company contracts and reinsurance treaties in an organized and easily accessible manner. Managing database of all company contracts being certain it includes all pertinent information. Managing the law department agreements, contracts and reinsurance treaties, and maintaining and updating applicable's preadsheets.'s upporting the Deputy General Counsel as directed with respect to investment's upport including research, documentation and regulatory filings. Under the direction of the Deputy General Counsel or General Counsel,'s upport the product development process by providing's upport to the Deputy General Counsel to execute the company's business plan on time and on budget. Review and drafting of retail and institutional life insurance and annuity product contracts, related disclosures and ancillary documents and engaging and managing outside counsel to assist as needed.'s upporting the Deputy General Counsel as directed with respect to product development and compliance's upport including documentation, regulatory filings and assisting with related market conduct matters. Managing, completing and/or providing assistance to the Deputy General Counsel or General Counsel on's pecial departmental and corporate projects as needed. Acting as the law department liaison to coordinate and facilitate resolution of legal matters and corporate projects as needed.

Requirements: Law degree from a nationally accredited law's chool. 5+ years legal and/or compliance experience in the financial's ervices industry, including experience in and knowledge of corporate or transactional matters as well as regulatory compliance. Knowledge of life and annuity business is preferred. Demonstrated management and leadership abilities. Must possess's trong persuasion and influencing capabilities. Ability to make's uggestions for process improvements and to take ownership of projects, etc.. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and to effectively adapt to change. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while addressing multiple projects and responsibilities. Demonstrated's trong organizational and analytical's kills. Must possess's trong research's kills and proficiency in Lexis Nexis. Must be proficiency in Microsoft Office applications,'s preadsheets and presentation's oftware.'s trong interpersonal's kills necessary to maintain effective working relationships with's enior management, employees at all levels, outside attorneys, agents,'s tate insurance department personnel, etc.. Excellent writing and oral communication's kills. Willingness to work in a collaborative environment. Ability to organize and complete work with a minimum degree of's upervision. Willingness to actively participate in meetings, decision making, etc.
