Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney The candidate will coordinate all company legal matters for land/asset acquisitions, development, construction, asset management, and asset disposition. Read, understand, draft, and track redlines, for Letter of Intents and Purchase and Sale Contracts, Title, development documents such as Easement Agreements, Reciprocal Access Agreements, Site Development Agreements, Escrow Agreements, Cost Share Agreements, Master Declarations, deeds, and settlement statements. Prepare and mark up a title commitment and coordinate ALTA Survey. Draft or review documents necessary to clear title. Coordinate title requests from Lender and local counsel title opinions. Track deadlines. Review Closing Statements/Tax Prorations. Coordinate with Accounting Division for closing Funding. Order Payoffs and Estoppels. Coordinate Subordination Agreements. Schedule the closing with all parties; notify the parties of any missing documents, insurance, or other issues that must be dealt with before the closing can be finalized. Coordinate with owners and outside counsel for closing. Maintain key commercial land sites spreadsheet within specific market areas. Research and provide required data for entitlements process as directed by Land Acquisitions team. Should have 1-3 years of direct experience handling commercial and residential real estate legal matters for land/asset acquisitions, development, construction, asset management, and asset disposition. Must have 3+ years of directly managing Due Diligence in Commercial Real Estate. Should have experience in construction law, real estate law, title insurance procedures, and contract law. Experience in zoning and land use required. Must have a thorough understanding of reviewing and analyzing title and survey documents. Must understand the Commercial Real Estate Development Process. Knowledge of the real estate closing process required. Must have strong computer skills in Office365 Suite.
