Senior Counsel-Corporate Litigation The candidate will be responsible for managing commercial litigation (including consumer-to-business and business-to-business disputes), pre-litigation matters, and third-party subpoenas. Partner with outside counsel, in-house colleagues, and other legal services providers to develop and execute litigation strategy and protect Progressive's business interests. Must have Juris Doctorate degree. Must have active license to practice law in at least one state; Active or Corporate license in state where working. Must have 5 years of legal experience/training. Experience representing defendant corporations, including public companies, in consumer-to-business and business-to-business litigation is preferred. Hands-on commercial/business litigation experience, including substantive motion practice, managing discovery and representing clients in court proceedings, settlement discussions and at mediation is desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex legal issues to business line stakeholders is preferred. Advanced legal research and analysis skills and ability to apply research analysis practically to commercial/business litigation is a plus.
