Senior Product Counsel / Privacy The candidate's duties include: Support product, marketing, sales, and engineering teams by advising on a range of regulations, compliance issues, and industry standards with a focus on data privacy, information security, and consumer protection. Partner with product and engineering teams to understand and explain legal implications of new products and features by reviewing implementation specifications, data flows, UI/UX design and copy, wireframes, and related messaging. Draft clear and concise terms of service, legal disclosures, privacy notices, and disclaimers; Review, negotiate and draft a complex inbound technology procurement and strategic technology partnership agreements. Formulate and implement corporate legal policy in support of data privacy, data governance, and other compliance initiatives. Provide legal support for M&A, internal process controls, and corporate governance. Work collegially and supportively with other members of legal team and cross-functional teams. Should have experience with data privacy, information security, open source software, SaaS, and technology and software licensing. Must have familiarity with launching products and advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of B2C or B2B2C products. Prior experience in corporate and technology transactions.
