Tax Senior Manager (Attorney), Tax Controversy - National Federal Tax Services, Global Investment and Innovation Incentives (Gi3) Duties: The candidate will be part of a team of professionals committed to resolving clients' federal and state R&D tax controversies and providing clients with in-depth knowledge of IRS practice and procedure. Will advise and support R&D client engagements, including analyzing contracts for credit eligibility. Examine planning and representation. IRS Appeals representation. Draft tax opinions, rebuttals, and memoranda. Assist with drafting and presenting proposals to new and existing clients. Provide leadership, counseling, training, and career guidance for the development and motivation of team members.

Qualifications: The candidate should have a J.D. degree and be a licensed attorney. Must have 8+ years of federal tax experience, including federal tax controversy experience. Previous law firm, IRS, Treasury, Big 4, or accounting firm experience is preferred. Previous experience managing R&D engagements and/or R&D tax controversy matters is desired. Excellent research skills are an asset. Solid management experience is a plus.
