Counsel, Litigation The candidate will support the development and implementation of a global litigation and dispute resolution strategy. Oversee management and defense of lawsuits, arbitrations and other litigation matters; negotiate settlements of litigation/claims where appropriate; manage outside counsel to ensure zealous representation of the Company's legal and business interests; provide regular updates on litigation matters for audit and financial reporting. Advise business stakeholders and management on litigation risks and threats; assess potential litigation exposure and costs; provide counsel to avoid or mitigate litigation risk. Maintain responsibility for docket of insurance, personal injury and risk management matters; assist in providing counsel and support to Risk Management function. Provide oversight & guidance over legal matters relating to litigation, with a focus on ensuring the Enterprise receives strategic and solution-oriented litigation solutions in an optimized fashion from our global Legal function. Help to establish and maintain a global and regional Litigation Practice Circle to develop and leverage litigation expertise across the function. Ensure Litigation Team collaborates with Practice Circles for seamless delivery of legal support. Identify work that should not be done, as well as work which can be addressed through digitization, standardization and simplification. The candidate must have J.D. Degree and practicing member in good standing of a U.S. state or international Bar. Participation in law review or advocacy programs are a plus. Must have 6-10 years of experience in large national law firm and/or corporate legal department practice with expertise in litigation and risk management. Consumer products, marketing, and/or food and beverage industry experience a plus. Experience in class action defense, False Advertising, Securities Law, Intellectual Property, Investigations and Arbitrations is preferred. Application closing date: April 1, 2021
