Senior Associate Counsel - Ethics & Compliance The candidate will be responsible for the assignment of cases from the Speak Up whistleblowing line and reviewing adequate completion of all cases/investigations. Monitor open cases and prepare presentations for senior management. Ensure key areas of risk are identified in the trend of weekly SpeakUp and these are escalated to the correct level of management. Ensure country management are taking reasonable steps to mitigate and reduce the SpeakUp risks. Discuss with country leadership teams the importance of complying with company policies (in view of the SpeakUp cases) and what needs to be done to address the underlying issues. Provide relevant training and communication to raise awareness of SpeakUp in the company and materials for countries to adopt and action. Working with countries and regions as appropriate to scope and plan investigations for higher level 2 investigations with appropriate oversight and ensuring the completion of robust investigations. Training for HR and country teams on how to complete ethics related investigations such as conflicts of interest, fraud, corruption or other issues. Provide relevant training on the use of appropriate forms and systems for consistent investigations to be completed. Support in the preparation of papers and presentations for the Regional Governance Committees (RGCs), Audit Committee, monthly Regional Calls and other meetings. Assist with wider Ethics & Compliance activities such as the creation of case-studies and lessons learned capturing relevant insights form the data analytics. Review consistency of all documents issued Ethics & Compliance function and support wider E&C activities related to SpeakUp related policies along with the Code of Business Conduct. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization. Should have Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school with accompanying state licensure. Must have foundational knowledge of employment and business conduct laws. Advance proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) is a must. Some operational experience in a customer focused business would be ideal. Hospitality industry experience, a plus.
