Associate Corporate Counsel

Associate Corporate Counsel Duties: Structures, drafts, and negotiates complex commercial agreements and contracts of various size and scope. Works with, manages and leads multiple business teams to draft detailed and complex statements of work, contract amendment and renewals, and other key exhibits and documents. Advises executives within the company and works alongside employees in the contract logistics and transportation management units in addition to corporate support functions. Advises executive team on contract status and legal risks in new commercial ventures. Manages various projects and tight deadlines. Effectively communicates legal risks with executive staff. Maintains contract database. Other duties as required and assigned. Requirements: JD Degree from a reputable university and membership in good standing with at least one state bar required. 3 years of legal experience as a transactional attorney at a major law firm. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once under time limitations. Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to develop business-oriented solutions. Ability to own a project and lead business team on contract negotiations, amendments and renewals. Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to perform duties using project management principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Ability to draft contractual requirements. Superior analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to provide clear and direct communications both verbally and in written form. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage own work. Self motivated and able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
