Corporate Counsel - Healthcare Responsibilities: Analyze privacy issues posed by HIPAA, CCPA and GDPR, including DPAs. Provide guidance to the Sales organization by addressing all contract issues along with redlining and negotiating sales contracts. Analyze and negotiate contracts (business, customer, research, payer, software license agreement etc.). Assist with the Company's corporate compliance program.
Qualifications: Admitted to the Illinois Bar with health law and medical device knowledge and experience. 5+ years' experience of law firm and/or in-house counsel experience. Health law experience with strong background in patient data and privacy-related matters is a must, including HIPAA, CCPA and GDPR. Ideally, your experience also includes some or all of the following: Fraud and Abuse laws (AKS, Stark, FCA), Compliance, IP, Data Privacy. Must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail. Experience with software license agreements is a plus. Ability to adapt well to change, multi-task, make effective decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, as well as the ability to identify risk. Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools. Proven legal research skills. Experience with public speaking.
