Director-Senior Corporate Counsel Commercial Life Sciences Duties: Work directly as a business partner with commercial team colleagues to provide legal support for high volume of complex commercial contracts. Provide advice and assistance regarding legal interpretations and analysis of the legal and regulatory risk of contracts. Collaborate with global colleagues on corporate policies, training and other initiatives. Assist in developing creative solutions for commercial issues and disputes. Ensure compliance with internal policies. Work closely with the company's contract administration team throughout the contracting process. Assist in the development of contract templates, policies, procedures and other documents. Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Undergraduate or graduate degree in biochemistry or chemical engineering preferred. JD Degree from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials. Current Bar admission required (Pennsylvania preferred). 10+ years relevant experience at a law firm, in-house legal department, or a combination of both, with 5+ years of in-house experience preferred. 5+ years of experience in the chemical and/or life sciences industries negotiating, reviewing, revising and drafting complex contracts, including customer, supplier, service, consignment, toll manufacturing and joint development agreements, in an in-house setting, preferably with a large, global, publicly traded life sciences or chemical company. Flexibility to adapt to new Company priorities, processes, initiatives and risk tolerance, and the ability to offer practical, compliance-oriented solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to impact and influence at all levels of an organization. Exceptional drafting, negotiation, legal research, analytic, writing, communication and organizational skills, plus focused attention to detail. Strong and effective judgment, and ability to present ideas logically. Client-focused and confident, with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to interact with senior business leaders as well as vendors, customers and other third parties. Ability to resolve conflict, overcome resistance and facilitate consensus. Collaborative approach necessary for working in a matrix organization. Flexible and willing to learn new areas of business and the law. Ability to work independently and handle complex and sophisticated legal matters with minimal supervision. Ability to handle multiple priorities within tight deadlines and prioritize workload in a manner that best serves the needs of the business. High integrity, with a commitment to upholding values of innovation, customer centricity, accountability, respect and excellence.
