Senior Corporate Counsel - Compliance The candidate develops and implements a comprehensive Group compliance system in the Americas that is constantly adapted to a changing business environment and incorporates learnings from real cases. Develops standardized processes, procedures and templates in the Americas to assist in dormakaba efforts to remain in compliance, make it both clearer and easier to comply with code of conduct and legal requirements, and perform compliance investigations and audits. Responsible for development and implementation of the Compliance and Employee Relations Programs in collaboration with Segment Finance, Legal and HR Leadership/supporting dormakaba's initiative to help drive a robust performance culture and high employee engagement. Provides legal counsel on company policy, various laws (including labor and employment, data privacy and security, competition, trade, anti-corruption, etc) and provides investigative expertise across the segment to ensure neutrality in investigations, consistency & quality in processes and documentation to support better outcomes. Leads committee of compliance personnel in the Americas. Must have J.D. from an accredited law school. Should have admission to a State Bar of any jurisdiction in the United States and licensed to practice in Indiana (or admitted to the Indiana Bar within a reasonable time following the commencement of the position). Must have 8+ years of experience preferably gained in both a major law firm and in-house. In-house experience in a compliance role is a clear advantage. Should have experience handling investigations, audits, and employee relation issues. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be able to relate complex concepts in a concise and easy to understand manner.
