Senior Manager, Talent Engagement & Employment Counsel The candidate will manage and drive strategy on pre-litigation and litigation matters. Select and manage outside counsel relationships as necessary. Work cross-functionally with members of the Talent/HR Teams to gather and review factual documentation needed to assist with handling of legal matters. Assist as needed with tasks pertaining to the Company's Independent Workforce Program. Work with legal support staff to ensure accurate legal record keeping and billing. Manage legal risk and and provide solutions for resolving employment-related disputes. Collaborate with other members of the Talent Team with respect to advice and counseling on employment-related matters. Advise the leaves and accommodation team as needed. Participate in the creation and delivery of labor and employment-related trainings and updates. Coordinate and manage employment law-related special projects (e.g., internal process reviews and policy updates).

The candidate must have J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. State Bar. Must have 4+ years of experience practicing employment law. Must have experience advising internal partners and/or clients on employment law-related issues. Must have experience independently managing a robust employment pre-litigation and litigation case docket. Experience working in an in-house employment law role is preferred. Massachusetts and/or California bar membership is a plus. Should preferably have significant U.S. employment law experience; and Experience working in the technology, retail, and/or e-commerce industries.
