Senior Counsel - Employment The candidate will primarily provide employment law advice and counsel. As needed the role may include employment law litigation and arbitrations; e.g., claims of harassment, discrimination, wage and hour matters, restrictive covenant and other contractual disputes, and workplace safety issues. Draft pleadings, draft and argue motions, promulgate and respond to written discovery, take and defend depositions, and represent the Bank before courts and arbitrators. Will also represent the Bank before federal and state EEO agencies, including drafting position statements and handling fact findings, mediations and hearings. In addition, the incumbent will provide pragmatic and innovative counseling to reduce legal risk. Should have 7+ years experience representing and advising clients in a law firm or in house. Must have experience counseling corporate clients on varying aspects of employment law matters. Experience in litigation, including conducting witness interviews, written discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and responding to written discovery, drafting and arguing motions. Should have experience in settling litigation matters in mediation, conciliation and one-on-one negotiations with opposing counsel and pro se plaintiffs. Must have JD from an accredited law school and bar admission in a state within Bank's primary footprint or ability to waive in.
