Contracts Counsel The candidate will manage, review, draft and negotiate the company's contracts and provide general legal support. Will report to and consult with the Chief Financial Officer on all contract matters. Review SaaS agreements to ensure they are in compliance with legal requirements. Draft and negotiate various agreements including vendor contracts, partnership agreements and other commercial transactions, with a focus on high-volume client contracts. Research and assess legal issues and provide advice to minimize potential legal risks. Assist in counseling colleagues on a variety of business law issues.
The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-Accredited law school. Must be Admitted and in good standing with a state Bar and are eligible to register for the New York's State in-house counsel program. Must have 3+ years of experience in contract review, drafting, and negotiations. In-house experience a plus. Knowledge of California and New York law preferred. Experience in the SaaS and Media industries, as well as knowledge of security and data-privacy laws a plus.
