Corporate Litigation Counsel Duties: Handle litigation and pre-litigation matters. Negotiate and draft various agreement. Provide advice and counsel to various departments and executive staff on general business matters and regulatory compliance. Identify and analyze legal issues and ensure compliance.
Requirements: JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school. Admitted and in good standing with the NJ. 2+ years of experience, either in a law firm or a combination of clerkship and private practice. Significant litigation experience, including with discovery and motion practice. Strong critical thinking, research, writing, and organization skills. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization's legal department and across all businesses. Ability to manage and prioritize work in a very fast paced environment. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Technologically savvy and detail oriented. Preferences: Clerkship strongly preferred. Trial experience preferred. Automotive industry background a plus. 2+ years of experience in a law firm preferred. Admission in NY a plus.
