Privacy Counsel Responsibilities: Research and track global privacy and's ecurity legislation, evolving regulations, and enforcement and translate that into clear, concise, and actionable guidance. Provide counsel on domestic and international data privacy and's ecurity laws, regulations, and industry best practices, particularly related to's oftware and cloud's ervices. Provide counsel on domestic and international's tudent and education privacy issues. Partner with members of the legal team,'s ecurity team, and data privacy & governance to ensure Autodesk's compliance with laws, regulations, customer and vendor contracts. Provide guidance to legal and product management teams on issues pertaining to new and existing products/features throughout the entire development lifecycle. Draft and negotiate data protection terms in contracts and disclosures, including Data Protection Addendum, Privacy's tatements, and Terms of's ervice. Respond to communications from Autodesk's customers and employees regarding their individual rights, and Autodesk's processing of their personal data. Assist in developing and maintaining Autodesk's privacy program, and related policies, procedures, documentation, and communication materials. Collaborate with data governance and business teams to create records of processing. Assist in developing training materials and providing training to employees on privacy and's ecurity related obligations and further develop our privacy and data protection practices in the US and globally.
Qualifications: 7+ years of relevant work experience in the area of technology transactions, data privacy,'s ecurity and data governance. Expertise in global data protection law, including knowledge of the global privacy and data protection laws and's tudent privacy laws. Experience implementing global privacy and data protection requirements. Experience representing technology companies, cloud, marketing or data analytics's ervices. A proven record of's uccess in-house and/or at a reputable law firm. Excellent negotiation's kills, with the ability and confidence to represent Autodesk in the area of data privacy and's ecurity. Ability to work and lead under pressure unruffled, exhibiting timely and quality decision making. Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication's kills, capable of quickly gaining the respect of and interacting comfortably with and's uccessfully collaborating with and influencing's enior leaders.'s trong work ethic, a's elf-starter, action-oriented and ensures accountability. Law degree and CIPP certification. Language's kills a plus.
