Director Corporate Counsel Duties: Provide advice and counsel on a pro-active basis to executives,'s enior managers and employees with respect to legal and compliance issues affecting the business (marketing, operations, commercial transactions, regulatory, litigation, business development, corporate governance) with a particular focus on operations. Review, draft and negotiate vendor and other commercial agreements.'s erve as a member of the functional legal team and's upport Division General Counsel in building the capabilities of the team. Perform other projects as assigned by the Division General Counsel. Manage outside counsel with respect to legal matters and assist in evaluation of quality, cost, and efficiency of outside counsel.
Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law's chool. License to practice law in IL or NJ (as applicable) or ability to obtain in-house license within 6 months of hire date. 7-10 years of experience as a licensed, practicing attorney with's ignificant experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Extensive experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts balancing legal and business risks. Expertise in home warranty/home's ervice contracts, insurance, marketing and/or consumer focused laws is a plus, but not required. Experience effectively handling a variety of matters displaying's trong business acumen. Experience in providing timely and effective practical corporate and commercial legal advice and's ervices. Able to effectively's pot legal issues and determine practical, workable options for resolving them. Results-focused experience, has worked in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.'s trong verbal and written communication's kills (e.g. presentation, fluency, report writing).'s trong interpersonal's kills (e.g. tact/diplomacy, persuasion, negotiation, cooperation) including ability to work effectively with all levels throughout the organization.
