US Privacy Attorney Responsibilities: Provide legal counsel on all U.S. privacy matters, including CCPA compliance and advising business partners on data privacy aspects of transactions and other data initiatives. Develop, execute and support training on data privacy and other compliance policies, tools, systems, protocols and agreements. Monitor and analyze trends, cases, legislation and best practices relating to data privacy compliance. Support company s enterprise risk management ( ERM ) process and lead table top exercises on data privacy. Support compliance investigations as necessary. Work closely and cross-functionally with Brands and Divisions to lead and support other compliance initiatives.
Requirements: JD Degree. 3+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with 2+ years in a data privacy consultancy or legal practice. Experience providing programmatic legal and compliance guidance across a variety of legal issues and risk areas in addition to privacy (e.g., anti-corruption, sanctions, securities) to business stakeholders. Experience interacting with federal regulators. Preferred Requirements: Experience with third-party risk management programs. Experience and comfort working with data, including to measure program performance and effectiveness, inform priorities and deliver insights to stakeholders. Familiarity with ERM processes. Excellent listening skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Sound judgment, critical thinking and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency on cross-functional teams with demonstrated ability to influence others. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and handle changing priorities successfully in a fast-paced environment. High personal and professional integrity and the ability to establish personal credibility and trust across the organization.
