Commercial Real Estate Leasing Attorney The candidate's duties include : Negotiate and draft leases; lease addendum and modifications; estoppels and other documents as required for a portfolio of commercial properties (including office, retail and industrial); Maintain company and property visibility with the local brokerage and prospect community to maximize property exposure to the marketplace; Track lease expirations and renewals; Work with property management and construction personnel to ensure we exceed the expectations of our tenants from the execution of the lease to the occupancy of the space; Develop and implement broker incentives to drive occupancy; Develop a leasing strategy in line with each property's operating and capital budgets; Budget expected property rental rates and leasing costs (tenant improvements, commissions, and landlord costs); Network, develop and maintain strong relationships with outside brokers, prospective tenants and existing tenants. A real estate license is required (or willingness to obtain one); must possess a law degree or paralegal certificate; 2+ years of experience in commercial real estate lease negotiations and drafting or related transactions is a must.
