Associate General Counsel - Employment Responsibilities: Providing our business leaders, human resources, and other internal teams with business oriented advice and counsel on all aspects of employment-related matters, such as hiring, discipline, separations, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, benefits, wage and hour compliance, performance management issues and all other employment matters; Providing legal advice and support for internal investigations, such as those involving employee relations issues and violations of key Guidehouse policies such as anti-harassment and non-discrimination; Drafting and/or reviewing employment related documents, agreements, and/or corporate policies and procedures; Managing all aspects of employment litigation, such as representing the Company before various federal, state and/or local agencies where required, responding to subpoenas or demand letters, and managing and overseeing outside counsel (including global) handling employment litigation matters; and Keeping abreast of employment law developments and communicate pertinent information to internal clients to ensure compliance and minimize risk to the Company.

Qualifications: JD degree and active bar admission in any US state or the District of Columbia. 10+ years of combined experience as an attorney advising private, multinational, commercial organizations on employment law either in a corporate legal or law firm environment. Substantive knowledge of US federal and state employment laws and regulations (including ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and experience in dealing with people at all levels inside and outside of a company and proven relationship building skills. Prior experience with employment litigation and internal investigations. Desired: Experience advising a US federal government contractor preferred. Experience with international employment matters and conducting cross-border internal investigations. Ability to communicate with multinational teams operating in multiple time zones effectively. Proven ability to distinguish business decisions from legal decisions, and clearly communicate to business leaders.
