Employment, Compliance & ESG Counsel Duties: Support the global Human Resources team on all employment law-related matters. Support the Total Rewards team on all employee benefits matters, including the administration of payroll, and health and welfare plans. Assist with reviewing, updating and maintaining human resources and benefits forms and policies. Work with overseas legal counsel on employee and benefits-related matters relating to operations outside of the U.S. Oversee and advise on workers compensation matters. Advise on COVID-19 employer issues, including but not limited to, return to work policies. Support company-wide Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts through partnership with the DE&I Committee and affiliated employee resource groups. Serve as primary legal counsel for the company's ethics and compliance program, ensuring that the company exercises due diligence and sound internal controls to operate with integrity and protect against legal risk. Develop and document ethics and compliance policies and procedures that meet SEC and SOX requirements, and the DOJ federal sentencing guidelines. Maintain, implement, and manage all training on compliance-related subjects and hot-line processes. Provide legal support to any compliance investigations and audits. Work closely with senior management, internal audit and human resources: (i) to evaluate and respond to suspected compliance violations; and, (ii) for consistent enforcement, disclosure, and remedial action protocols. Review and draft legal documents and advise employees on compliance issues related to vendors, projects, procurement, sales and marketing. Identify and work with external legal counsel on data privacy matters affecting the Company, both domestically and overseas. Provide legal support to the company's ESG efforts, particularly as they relate to labor and employment. Participate in business meetings and train on issues related to different practice areas. Ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations; monitor compliance and make recommendations regarding changes to policies or operations. Participate in the strategic planning process and in the development of department business plans. Assist with special projects as they may arise.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials. Must be an active member in good standing with 1+ state Bar (members of either the Pennsylvania or North Carolina state bar preferred). 4+ years combined experience within a law firm and/or corporate legal department (prior in-house counsel experience is a plus). Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address and influence all levels of the organization, including the ability to effectively communicate how an issue impacts *** from both a business and legal perspective. A practical, hands-on approach to the practice of law. A business partner who likes working side-by-side with business people and is receptive to opposing views. The ability to work well both independently and as part of a highly collaborative and an international team, in a fast-paced cross-cultural environment. A strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize and follow through on numerous projects simultaneously. International and ESG experience a plus. A general understanding of, or an interest in, manufacturing operations.
