Senior Corporate Counsel, Global Commercial Partner Sales

Senior Corporate Counsel, Global Commercial Partner Sales The candidate will serves as a key business partner and valued legal advisor to senior level clients and colleagues by providing comprehensive and coordinated advice to the ISV business, collaborate and advise on strategy impacting global strategic partners, partner growth, and the broader GPS business priorities. Will counsel and advise senior clients on a wide variety of complex and developing legal issues related to technology and commercial transactions, intellectual property, data protection/ data privacy, security, anti-corruption, and compliance requirements, and develop creative solutions and alternatives to mitigate future risk. Influence and drive coordination and alignment with other (i) frontline CELA teams supporting firms' global partner business, and (ii) specialty functions within CELA including privacy, antitrust, government affairs, intellectual property, and litigation specialists, to address relevant legal and regulatory matters. Structure, draft and negotiate new and complex strategic commercial transactions relating to the development or distribution of firms' commercial cloud services and products. Partner with business and CELA teams to develop policies and best practices related to legal and regulatory issues impacting Global Partner Solutions business. The candidate should have a J.D. or international equivalent law degree, with excellent academic credentials, and an active license to practice law in the US. Must have 8-10 years of recent in-house or law firm experience working for or with a large technology company, with a strong preference for experience managing and working with global team, leading technology transactions and the negotiation of strategic commercial agreements and/or joint ventures. Must have experience managing a legal team, including attorneys and/or paralegals. Demonstrated ability to: (i) distill complex legal and factual issues into simple actionable guidance and (ii) to independently drive solutions and collaborate effectively as a member of a legal team is required. Demonstrated experience leading, developing and executing strategic plans and initiatives is needed. Experience managing outside resources, including outside counsel and/or vendors is a plus. Must have familiarity with and passion for technology and technology-related issues.
