Director, Assistant General Counsel - Employment & Litigation The candidate will give pragmatic advice on a wide range of employment issues, including recruiting, hiring, compensation and benefits, pay practices, HR practices, performance management, terminations, employee investigations, and labor relations. Will help run and advise on investigations. Draft, negotiate, and enforce employment-related agreements (e.g., employment, consulting, separation, etc.). Support Firms contingent workforce program [Interface w/privacy team on employment-related topics]. Build and implement scalable employment policies and programs. Monitor and respond to new relevant legislation and regulation. Manage employment-related litigation, working with Firms VP of Litigation, outside counsel, and other key stakeholders. Manage responses to discovery requests, subpoenas, warrants, civil investigative demands, and legal intercept requests. Advise business stakeholders on potential liabilities and litigation risk. Assist in litigation-related due diligence of merger and acquisition targets.

The candidate should have BA/BS and JD degree. Must have 6+ years of employment litigation experience, some of which was at a law firm. Should have 8 years overall experience. A mix of roles at a law firm and in-house preferred. Strong experience creating and scaling processes and policies for a rapidly growing company is required.
