Legal & Compliance - Employment Attorney, Vice President/ Senior Vice President The candidate will draft, review, and advise on employment, departure, consulting and similar agreements and compensation/benefit plans. Advise and provide support on employment matters relating to acquisitions and other corporate transactions, including with respect to portfolio companies. In partnership with HR/SIG, manage outside counsel on labor and employment matters, including litigation (e.g., non-compete), arbitration and other legal proceedings (including responding to employment-related subpoenas, garnishments and related documents). Partner with external counsel and assist with managing immigration matters relating to senior hires and sensitive situations globally. Act as a resource for risk management teams in helping coordinate the contracting process and ongoing contract reviews. Advise on labor and compensation issues, including FLSA classifications and tax-qualified compensation plans. Keep up to date on and ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and City laws, regulations and policies. 5 - 7 years of directly related experience as an attorney with experience in employment and contract law, with a preference for candidates with in-house experience and meaningful negotiation experience required. Experience with international employment law issues helpful.
