Global Immigration Counsel (Manager) The candidate will manage CRA's immigration program and global mobility function, including working with outside U.S. and global immigration counsel to handle all employee questions, visa-related issues, permanent residency process, work permits, and annual training and mentoring programs. Work closely with the General Counsel's office to develop and implement best practices through policies and training related to global employment-law areas, including compensation, employee background checks, wage and hour, discrimination and harassment, disability management, leave of absence, and privacy rights. Assist in managing outside global employment and immigration counsel, including budget oversight, invoices and case strategy. Use data to develop insights and trends, develop strategy and process improvements around immigration compliance and opportunities. Manage global mobility program, ensuring positive employee experience, satisfaction of business needs, and guiding corporate partners. Manage junior members of the team with a strong sense of accountability, mentorship/coaching and a keen focus on delivering high-touch, white-glove service. Should have JD degree. Must have 3-5 years of experience in immigration law practice focusing on the United States, with experience in the U.K./Brexit, Europe and Canada preferred. Experience managing immigration and global mobility in-house is required. Experience working in a professional services environment is preferred. Broad knowledge of how immigration intersects with employment law, HR policies, tax compliance, domestic and global mobility, and other areas of the employee life-cycle is required. Must have ability to lead initiatives with a global lens, adjusting for legal and cultural needs of each country in which we operate. Previous managerial experience is preferred.
