Corporate Counsel, Compliance Duties: Conduct compliance risk assessments and recommend remediation. Conduct internal investigations of allegations of potential company policy or law violations, recommend corrective actions, and manage hotline activity and metrics. Regularly review and manage compliance and privacy policies and procedures and update based on best practices. Collaborate with cross-enterprise compliance professionals on the Code of Conduct and Cox-wide compliance initiatives. Develop and collaborate on training and education campaigns. Conduct awareness activities with People Solutions and Communications teams. Assess and manage voluntary disclosures (Conflict of Interest; Gifts & Entertainment) and recommend remediation. Provide guidance for the business in respect to the Records and Information Management program. Evaluate and provide counsel to the businesses regarding changing privacy regulations, such as CCPA, CPRA, CDPA, PIPEDA, etc. Prepare compliance reporting packages for Disclosure Committee. Provide counsel and guidance regarding third party due diligence and assessment of vendors. Manage and create content for the Ethics & Compliance intranet site. Collaborate with counsel to support the Data Privacy and Government Affairs programs. Integrate compliance into newly acquired businesses and provide legal counsel. Perform special assignments or projects as assigned.

Qualifications: JD degree, current license to practice law in at least one state. 5-7 years of legal experience, in-house experience preferred. Demonstrated understanding of compliance programs, elements, and controls. Experience with data privacy regulations. Familiarity with the technology and systems common in enterprise businesses. Ability to interpret and advise on the application of various laws and regulations. Ability to analyze and assess complex issues and proactively identify solutions. Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills required. Highly collaborative with the ability to work with cross-functional professionals. Proactive attitude and hands-on  approach. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
