Contracts Counsel, Assistant Vice President

Contracts Counsel, Assistant Vice President Responsibilities: Review Owner Contracts and subcontracts in conjunction with the Preconstruction and Operations Departments and assist with negotiations. Provide pre-award and post-award legal support for Projects, including but not limited to: review and input of Request-for-Proposals; contract management; change orders; and other contracts and/or contract documents. Draft confidentiality agreements, contracts and other documents pertinent to Evans business activities. Coordinate and work with coworkers, outside legal counsel cooperatively and efficiently. Works closely and collaboratively with General Counsel on contracts and other legal matters. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: JD Degree required from an ABA accredited law school. Must be admitted to practice law in at least one jurisdiction in the United States. 3 years of experience practicing construction law and/or construction contract review and negotiation preferred. Self-starter capable of working and managing multiple work assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail. Comfortable working in a quickly changing environment with a high workload. Proactive and able to anticipate needs based on rapidly changing situations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF and Excel. Ability to quickly learn job-related technology applications.
