Employment & Commercial Litigation Counsel Duties: Support Chief Counsel of the Americas / Global Litigation Director in providing leadership for key elements of risk assessment and risk management program; Directly handle - and oversee outside counsel in cost-effectively handling - many different types of claims, lawsuits, and negotiations on a wide array of complex legal, business, and insurance issues. These may include acquisitions, contracts, risk management, regulatory compliance, state and federal employment guidelines and requirements, and strategy; Apply knowledge of industry best practices to identify trends and reduce exposure; Work closely with HR on a variety of employment issues such as non-compete reviews, employment investigations and negotiations, separations, EEOC claims, federal and state employment compliance, drafting policies and procedures, and many other HR-related projects; Work closely with the Litigation Paralegal to carry out investigations, prepare discovery responses and production, respond to FINRA requests, handle claims and lawsuits, and many other tasks; and Perform other legal duties as may be directed by the General Counsel or the Chief Counsel of the Americas / Global Litigation Director.

Qualifications: Law Degree (JD Degree) from an accredited institution; License to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; 3+ years experience as an employment and/or commercial litigation attorney; Experience providing legal advice in one or more of the following additional areas: construction law, environmental law, insurance, intellectual property, or consulting or similar services; Proven success in consistently managing litigation matters to efficient and economically sensible outcomes; Track record of using technology to implement process improvements; Ability to write and communicate in Spanish is a plus; and Must be able to remain in a stationary position, operating a computer and a telephone, up to 100% of the time while working; and Must have a suitable environment for working at home (including by video conference) as the need arises.
