Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Serve as the primary legal department point person for review, negotiation, approval and execution of the company's contracts and other commercial agreements, including advising senior management on legal risks, concepts and implications of significant, complex contracts. Supervise the legal function related to the Company's private label products. Oversee protection of the Company's intellectual property portfolio. Ensure compliance and assist on issues related to privacy and data protection laws. Advise the Company's marketing team on the legal ramifications of various advertising/labeling campaigns, marketing transactions and litigation matters related thereto. Support the litigation team in resolving commercial disputes. Provide advice, counsel and recommendations to senior management on ad hoc matters to manage legal risk and conflicts. Interpret, apply and recommend changes to organizational policies and procedures. Manage outside counsel to prudently oversee the Company's legal expenditures. Qualifications: BBA/BA/BS degree required. JD Degree required from an American Board Association accredited law school. Membership in Arizona Bar; membership in California Bar preferred. 5+ years of progressively responsible experience, including drafting and negotiating contracts and other commercial agreements. Ability to perform in a complex cross-functional business environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, including telephone and email etiquette. Excellent attention to detail. Self-starter/independent worker with a high level of creativity, and an ability to creatively solve problems with a variety of variables. Flexible team-player with a positive, proactive attitude. The ability to be persuasive while ensuring a positive customer and/or partner experience. Strong time management skills; able to multitask, prioritize and manage own workload and to work well under pressure.
