Senior Counsel, Compliance Responsibilities: Act as a strategic partner for senior leadership on matters of importance to the company and provide information related to all aspects of compliance, including reporting ongoing issues and intentional acts of non-compliance, fraud, waste and abuse. Develop effective compliance training programs to educate employees on the legal and ethical standards and ensure that such training reflects the latest developments in law and business ethics. Lead and Conduct SpeakUp investigations and remediation. Promote use of the Compliance SpeakUp hotline, give heightened awareness of Danaher Code of Conduct, and provide understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures. Collaborate closely with colleagues in Legal, IT, HR, Finance and other core functions in order to direct compliance issues through the appropriate channels for investigation, resolution and remediation. Serve as the Company's advocate for the establishment of a culture of integrity and sound ethical behavior. Support and oversight of Regional Counsel to ensure consistent compliance approach and messaging globally. Provide oversight and management of Global Data Privacy program. Ensure Compliance policies are understood and followed by employees globally at every level, including Conduct, Anticorruption, Healthcare Provider (HCP) Management, Sponsorships and Grants. Maintain Policy Center, ensuring policies are up to date and accessible to all associates as well as coordinate data privacy and coordinate and lead risk and anti-corruption programs. Drive improvements to Third Party Management Program to assist business leaders to assess and monitor channel partners and other third parties. Maintain and own the Enterprise Risk Assessment Program and Audit & Monitoring Program, in accordance with requirements established by Danaher and Platform Compliance. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of issues. Liaise with HR to support Online DHR Annual Training requirements. Compose and distribute quarterly Compliance Communication to all associates. Collaborate with the Communications Department to distribute Compliance communications. Regularly conduct in person compliance visits to conduct training, set a tone of compliance and understand the business.

Qualifications: Educational requirements include legal degree (JD Degree) from accredited law school with admission to a state bar as well as BS/BA degree. 10+ years experience, including 3 years experience within global compliance programs in a large commercial organization within the Life Sciences industry. Well versed in developing, implementing and leading Compliance programs. In-depth knowledge and understanding of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements for healthcare companies, compliance risk management practices and methodologies, including risk assessment, monitoring/surveillance, and testing activities. Knowledge and understanding of legal issues facing global medical device companies including anti-bribery, FCPA, anti-kickback, privacy, Sunshine, etc. Strong ability to create trust and build a following. Must have sound business tact and ability to navigate sensitive topics with a high level of maturity. Ability to lead a team and be tactical as well as strategic. Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and respond quickly to changing priorities.
