In-House Corporate Counsel The candidate will work closely with General Counsel and other legal team member to help manage all of Fairway's legal and compliance issues and affairs. The position will report to the company's General Counsel and will be located in Portland, Oregon. A JD from a qualified law school, with an academic track record that demonstrates your inherent intelligence, dedication to hard work, and ability to succeed. Membership of a state bar association, preferably Oregon s, At least 3-5 years of experience working in a law-firm or corporate legal environment that has helped you understand how to provide sophisticated, top-shelf legal services to clients who demand the best. Some basic familiarity with securities laws, corporate legal issues, and the myriad of compliance issues facing private investment funds, investment advisors, and capital raisers. A verifiable track record of success in all previous positions, legal or otherwise, Excellent ability to understand and draft complex legal documents quickly but accurately, including contracts, corporate documents, and securities offerings Strong writing skills, as well as an ability to communicate effectively with others both in writing and verbally; Highly organized with the ability to efficiently and accurately manage (and/or delegate) multiple projects and responsibilities; A deep commitment to honest, ethical conduct in all of your dealings and a natural inclination and ability to adhere to the company's core values/; Currently living within a reasonable commuting distance to headquarters in Portland Oregon
