Privacy Counsel The candidate will draft and negotiate privacy and data protection agreements with vendors, customers and partners. Partner closely with and advise security, product, marketing, sales, HR and other business teams on privacy and data protection-related legal matters. Evaluate the impact of U.S. and international legislation, regulations and industry guidelines involving privacy and security. Help mature the privacy program across the entire company, including impact assessments, training, certifications, program assessments and audits, and policy and procedure development. Work collaboratively on cross-functional projects related to data governance, data protection and privacy by design. Provide sound advice and guidance on legal and business-related issues to senior business leaders. Should have 4+ years of substantive privacy legal experience preferably in-house with a successful, high-growth enterprise SaaS company, and 2+ years negotiating privacy terms. Must have knowledge of worldwide data protection regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA. Should have outstanding written and oral communications skills. Excellent negotiation skills with vendors and customers required. Must have experience scaling business and legal processes and policies for a rapidly growing organization.
